Italian High Renaissance Painter
Giovanni Bellini was born in Venice around 1430 and is considered one of the key figures in the development of the Venetian Renaissance. He was trained by his father, Jacopo Bellini, and later by Antonello da Messina. He was highly respected in his time, and his workshop was one of the largest in Venice.
