As a child, me and my father had a habit for Christmas time, we travelled to Munich and visited museums. In one of these (Lenbachhaus) there was this painting from a Franz Marc and I fell in love with it. As I child I had this as a poster in my room and always dreamed of having it as a real painting. Later as an adult, I took every opportunity to visit "my picture". I can't count the hours I stood in front of it and sadly never got to touch it. Now I dared the experiment and had TOPofART paint it for me. Of course I was a bit skeptical and needed some patience.

But when I got it 2 days ago and temporarily hung it up, I had exactly the same magical moment as in front of the original. Even at 55, I have to admit that I had tears in my eyes when I finally got to touch it. The painter has not only hit the picture so well with the motif, but also with the painting style (including the small mistakes of the original), it is as if I were in the Lehnbachhaus. But now I need patience again, because the picture is now at the frame. The gallery I took it to was also impressed by the quality of this replica.

I wanted to wait for the painting to be framed before writing a review. So now the painting is back fully framed and it just looks amazing. I would have included a photo but am unable to attach. I am really pleased with the results and Mike has been very informative and answered to all the questions. I highly recommend TOPofART to anyone who wants a reproduction painting hanging in the sitting room.

Michael created a copy that looks like the real painting from the Uffizi gallery which we enjoyed with many times visiting Florence. We received the painting reproduction of Luncheon of the Boating Party recently and after having it framed, we just hung it on our family room wall alongside our other five paintings from TOPofART. Many of Metcalf's paintings are in private collections, so Top of Art provides a person with maybe the only opportunity to own a painting that has the feel of the original.  If you love fine art, then Top of Art is the way to go for high end reproductions.

This reproduction of October Morning:  Deerfield Mass.  1917  gives a great feel for rural America in the early 1900's.  It's a great piece by Metcalf.
